Ruby color. This robust Chateauneuf du Pape is a complex and earthy wine, with an aromatic combination of red berries, liquorice, herbs and leather on the nose. Rounded and unctuous in the mouth, it is packed full of spicy peppery flavors and rich black cherry fruit. Soft tannins, well structured, fresh and has nice length.
About the Winery:
The Domaine de la Ronciere is a small family run operation located in the center of the village of Chateauneuf du Pape. It has 11 hectares of vines spread out in different sectors of the Chateauneuf du Pape appellation. 10 hectares are used to grow grapes for the production of red wine. 1 hectare is reserved for planting white wine grape varietals. All the work in the vineyards is done using only bio-dynamic farming techniques. In 2013, Domaine de la Ronciere was certified as a bio-dynamic producer by the Agriculture Biologique.
The vineyards are located on the argillaceous soil of the southern slop of Chateauneuf du Pape, taking advantage of the heat from the rolled stones left by the Rhone River. The grapes, of great quality, gives a well-structured wine with blended tannins and alcohol.
