ABOUT CELLER VALL LLACH
The "trossos" (plots of land) are centenary farms, chosen for their quality among the oldest and most famous in the villages of Pourer and Torroja, all cultivated by farmers who work on a regular basis with the winery. They are between 90 and 100 years old, and are where Carignan and Grenache are grown.
The environmental, orographic, sunlight and altitude conditions surrounding the trossos are enviable. Their slopes are impressive to see, and don't allow for mechanized work, which obligates people to have an intimate and exclusive relationship with them.
Early on, and to further guarantee the complexity of the wines, Celler Vall Llach planted a series of vineyards with grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Viognier. These varieties perfectly complement the traditional Carignan and Grenache vines from the various plots.
Cellar Vall Llach strives to express the region's local wine production. True to this desire, the winery works to make each bottle of wine a taste of the wonderful possibilities the Priorat has to offer, along with the specific features contributed by Porrera's steep slopes and soil.
Cellar Vall Llach is fully committed to the village it has made its home, and its wines are the best way known to express this commitment.
