Wine Enthusiast:
Owned by the Borie family of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou in Saint-Julien, this more humble member of the family has produced a well-structured and already well-integrated wine. Its tannins are still firm and need time to soften. Drink from 2021.
Tasting Note:
Chateau Fort Lignac is a great price value Bordeaux wines. It carries fabulous aromas with great length. The wine has depth, structure and finesse. The predominance of Cabernet is a striking feature of its bouquet and flavour. Coffee, vanilla and cassis are on display in its aromas and on the palate. Dry and medium-bodied with excellent fruit concentration, fine textured tannins and smoky undertones.
