Grape Variety: Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Humane Rouge, Cornalin.
Alcohol Content: 14.5%
This blend is made from vines with very low yields, carefully selected by Dominique Griuod. It has Merlot for its structure, Syrah for its spiciness, Humane Rouge for its sturdy tannins, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc for its fruit and Cornelian for its finesse.
The wine is aged in 3 barrels of different age respectively: new barrels, 2-year-old barrels and 3-year old barrels.
It has intense bouquet on the noses with wild blackberries, liquorice, blueberries, spices and an espresso roast note. Fruity on the palate, especially small blackberries, underlined by firm and well-integrated tannins. Rich, full-bodied mouthfeel displaying fruit, liquorice and roasted oak flavors along with a nice aromatic complexity.
Fantastic match for red meats, wild poultry, game, lamb and cheeses.
